FAQs
Will waxing reduce hair growth?
With consistent appointments every 4–6 weeks, many clients notice hair grows in finer, softer, and sparser over time. Waxing isn’t permanent hair removal, but it can visibly reduce density and thickness.
Can waxing cause ingrown hairs?
Ingrowns can happen when hair curls back into the skin—most often with tight clothing, dry skin, or shaving between waxes. We minimize them with proper technique, BARE Balance™ post-care, gentle exfoliation 2–3x weekly, and a targeted ingrown serum.
What is included in a Brazilian Wax?
A Brazilian removes hair from the front, sides, labia/scrotum, and back (between the cheeks)—customized to your preference. We finish with our BARE Balance™ barrier-soothing step to calm and protect skin.
The Do's and Don'ts after waxing.
Do: keep the area clean, wear loose cotton, hydrate skin, and use our ingrown serum as directed.
Don’t (for 24–48 hrs): no workouts, hot tubs/sauna, tanning/sun, tight clothing, fragrance or active acids on the area.
What are the benefits of waxing pubic hair?
Longer-lasting smoothness, finer regrowth, less daily maintenance than shaving, and fewer nicks or razor bumps—plus skin looks and feels softer.
Is it normal for a guy to get a Brazilian Wax?
Absolutely. Male Brazilians are common and performed with the same professional standards, privacy, and skin-first aftercare.
Is waxing good for under arms?
Yes—underarm waxing removes hair from the root, leading to slower, finer regrowth and often fewer bumps than shaving. Many clients feel cleaner for longer.
Who should not get waxed?
Avoid waxing if you’re using Accutane (isotretinoin), have used strong retinoids on the area in the last 5–7 days, have sunburn, open lesions, active infection, or recent chemical peels/laser on the area. When in doubt, ask your provider or doctor.
What are the 5 S's after waxing?
Avoid for 24–48 hours: Sweat, Sun, Sex, Sauna/Steam, and Swim. This prevents irritation and ingrowns while your follicles settle.
Can Brazilian Waxing casue UTI?
A UTI is uncommon and typically related to bacteria transfer, not the wax itself. We follow strict sanitation, wear gloves, and finish with soothing post-care. Keep the area clean, avoid tight clothes, and contact a clinician if you notice symptoms.
Where does waxing hurt the most?
Sensitivity varies, but the Brazilian, underarms, and upper lip are typically spiciest the first time. Sessions get easier with consistent visits and our barrier-safe technique.
Your Post-Wax Care Checklist
Keep your skin happy between waxes with these
3 simple steps:
Calm + Protect
(First 24–48 Hours)
Avoid: hot showers, sweating, tight clothes, sex, tanning, saunas, and swimming (the 5 S’s).
Apply our BARE Balance™ Ingrown Serum twice daily to soothe and prevent irritation.
If you feel warmth or sensitivity, use a cold compress and keep the area clean and dry.
Exfoliate (2x per Week)
Start exfoliating gently 3-5 days after your wax.
Use our Ingrown Polish or a soft exfoliating mitt, no harsh scrubs!
This removes dead skin, keeps follicles clear, and helps prevent ingrown hairs.
Hydrate + Maintain
Moisturize daily with a lightweight, fragrance-free body lotion.
Our Barrier Repair Cream is ideal for rebalancing the skin and extending your smooth results.
Schedule your next wax every 3-4 weeks to stay on your hair cycle and reduce regrowth.
Pro Tip from Our Founder
“Consistency is key. The more you wax, the finer your hair becomes, and the easier each session gets.”
